Andrew grew up around this business as well, working with his father and helping him fix, sell and transport motorcycles at No Limit Powersports. Andrew was working on motorcycles at 10 yrs old with his dad and cars at 15. When he
started working for David he learned a lot in a
very short period of time.“Andrew has
been working directly with me for two
years now. We have the same honesty,
integrity and hard working ethic. Together
we’re a solid team, and the business just
keeps expanding. We must be doing something right because people keep coming back,” he smiles.
A Charlottean, David Coffey always had a curiosity about how things worked...
By the time he was 13 he
was already working with
Eastland Motorcycles
being supervised by
Bryan Smith, the
man who became
his mentor and his
biggest influence.
“I didn’t come from money; everything
I have I’ve had to work for, so that’s what
I did,” says David. “And for the past 15 years,
it’s all I’ve been doing— repair work. I became pretty well known for fixing motorcycles and dirt bikes and building custom cars. I kept learning more and more and getting more customers,” he explains.
Tragedy struck in May of 2008, when Bryan died in a car accident. David and Bryan’s son Andrew were devastated; “He was my best friend; the guy who taught me everything,” says David. I worked with him for a long time before I went off on my own and had the experience to start my own business four years ago.”
